Jump In is excited to bring back to Canby Grove Christian Center the much loved tradition of Summer Day Camps. We have 6 weeks of camps planned full of activities to keep your child entertained. Each week will be jam packed with activities that will include swimming, water games, field activities, crafts and much more all incorporated into the weeks theme. Every week will feel like a new adventure.
 
Camps are geared for 6–11 year olds who are going into the 1st through fifth grades
fall of 2013. Campers must have turned 6 years old before June 26th and enjoyed kindergarten for the 2012-13 school year.

Summer is a blast at Canby Grove. Come be apart of all the outdoor action we can fit in 6 hours everyday. The week will be jam packed with activities that will include swimming, water games, field activities, theme days, crafts, adventures, fun snacks, friends and much more. 

Campers can pick 2 electives that they will take part in T, W, and TH of the week. These focused activities allow the kids to take part in activities they are most interested in doing. You can pick the electives when you register for camp. Some of the electives have an age limitation and space limitation on number of kids that can take part. We will not guarantee any friends being placed in the same group for these electives. It is on a first sign-up basis and is separate from the group combinations for the rest of Day Camp. Each class must have at least 5 campers signed up to take place. Please pic an alterantive elective in case the first two choices are full or do not have enough campers registered by camp time. 

Information for all day camps:

We are a non-denominational Christian based camp. Our day camps are geared to the community at large no matter what their religious belief. We do have club meetings everyday in which your child will be taught simple verses, songs and simple stories from the Bible. 

GRADE Levels are determined by what grade your camper will be attending in fall of 2017. [A camper can decide to go a grade lower but we do not allow campers to go up a grade.]

ESSENTIALS: We suggest that every camper come with a labeled bag or backpack with a few essentials inside: swimsuit, towel, sunscreen, water bottle and lunch. If your camper has special dietary needs please pack a snack or two as well. Many Campers will come with their swimsuit already on and clothes over the top. This makes transition for pool time easy. Just make sure there are extra essentials in their bag for coming out of the pool. 

SNACKS: Every day at camp a snack is provided for each camper. We try to have options for children that have dietary needs such as milk intolerance or gluten free needs. However, if your child has special dietary needs you may want to pack a special snack for your child. The alternative snacks are not always as fun as the regular snacks we serve, ice cream sundaes, s'mores, cupcakes, popcorn with candy, carmel apples and Hawiian Shaved Ice are a few examples of common snacks we serve. 

LUNCH: Every camper must bring their own lunch. Please put your childs name on their lunch box or sack.

LOCATION: All Jump-in Camps will be held on the main side of Canby Grove Camp.

1st-5th graders: For Drop-off and pick-up please drive into the main entrance and take the first left. There will be signs and staff to direct you.

6th-7th graders: For Drop-off and pick-up please drive into the main entrance and look for the basketball court to the right. There will be signs and staff to direct you.

For Pick-up please be sure to pick up your child no later than 3:30. It gets very lonely for a child to be the last one left at camp. Please park and come to the registration table to check-out your child.

SWIMMING: Campers will get a chance to swim in the Canby Grove Pool almost everyday. It makes transition time to the pool smoother and faster if you are able to have your camper wear their swimsuit under their clothes to camp. They can change after swimming to regular clothes if they prefer. Often times after swimming we will still do water games in the field so many kids like to leave their suit on all day. Please advise our staff at check-in (and on the health form) as to whether your camper is a strong swimmer or needs help. If you would like to have your camper use a life jacket we suggest you send one with your camper. We have a limited number of life jackets on property, however we feel a personal life jacket that fits appropriately is much better. 

HEALTH FORM: We can access the online health form here on our secure website in two ways. Once you have registered your camper and hit the submit button, a link to the health form with be on screen. You can choose that link or choose pay now link and access the health form under register tab above at your convenience. No camper will be allowed to check-in to camp without a health form filled out. Thank you for your help in this matter. 

 

Camp Cost:

$185 Per Week: 8:55 drop-off–3:30 pick up.
First day check-in can take a few minutes longer. On Monday's drop-off begins at 8:45. There will be no early bird check-ins. Staff will not be available each day until 8:45.

$25 Non-Refundable Deposit: Due at registration to hold a space and goes toward cost of camp but is non-refundable. You can register without a deposit. If you do not leave a deposit at registration your space is not guaranteed and could cause your child to moved to a waiting list. 

Special Discounts:

1st camper in the family is full price. Each additional sibling is $160 up to $75 off per family.
